OVERVIEW

SUEDLEDER was founded in Rehau, Bavaria in 1979 and has gradually expanded its capacity.

With up to 250 employees, SUEDLEDER contract-tans approximately 3,000 cattle hides and calf skins to wet blue / wet white or semi-finished crust per day. The company mainly produces leather for the automotive industry and furniture sector, with more and more customers in the fields of leather goods and footwear.

SUEDLEDER runs its own process water treatment plant and has pioneered various innovative environmental technologies. For example, a new energy center processing the residues of the liming process and a bioenergy plant for energy recovery from sewage sludge and other organic tannery waste, were commissioned in 2007 and 2013, respectively.

The high environmental commitment of the company is underlined by the award of the Leather Working Group Award and the ECO2L label.
