OVERVIEW

Bodin-Joyeux was founded in 1860, and since its very beginning it has shown its passion for beautiful leathers. From the antique magnificent parchments, the first activity of the company, to the sensual feel and wide range of colours of the lamskin Plongé (full aniline).
The ability of Bodin-Joyeux to tailor, with its R&D department, many different colours and articles according to customers specifications has fostered its partnerships with high fashion companies all over the world.
Bodin-Joyeux, has about 100 employees and it produces nearly 600 000 lambskins per year.
In addition, Bodin-Joyeux has been awarded the label of ‘Responsible and Sustainable Company’.


A corporate citizen


Located in a small town in the heart of the Indre département (36), the company has always been eager to protect its environment. Bodin-Joyeux was one of the first tanneries to implement an efficient environmental strategy.


Different Types of Leather


Lambskin Plongé (full aniline) is the flagship product of the company. It has a strong identity, a top luxury image, and intertwines a silky feel with an exceptional depth of colours. It is used by the luxe industry and haute couture in fields such as clothing, handbags, shoes and gloves. The tannery also produces special products such as suede, parchment, metallic leather.
Twice a year, Bodin Joyeux designs its own collection in the form of a Leather Concept". presented on their stand during exhibitions. The company takes part in various fairs in France and abroad.
