OVERVIEW

1 - How did you come to the leather industry?

After finishing an internship on a building site in Targoviste, I decided I wanted to work closer to home and found a job at Jilava Mineral Tannery.

2 – What job are you performing in the leather industry?

At present, I am in charge of environmental protection, officer in charge of prevention and protection activity (workplace security and health), civil protection inspector and operator in charge of monitoring and technical verification of machines/equipment in the field of ISCIR (State Inspection for the Control of Boilers, Pressure Vessels and Hoisting Equipment).

3 - What qualification or training did you do to be there?

When I was hired as inspector, I was a graduate of the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction. Subsequently, for my current occupation, I attended the training and refresher courses required by law in order to be able to fill those positions (refresher course in the field of workplace security and health, civil protection inspector course, operator in charge of monitoring and technical verification of equipment).

4 - What do you (most) appreciate in your job?

I like the great diversity of issues to be solved; the fact that it involves both desk work and field work, while constantly improving the process in response to changes in legislation
