worth

The second call of the EU WORTH project European Commission will close on 24 October. The call has made the leather sector its priority and offers funding for tailored-made coaching, participation in international events, professional links, market upscale and access to an innovative community to kick-start disruptive design ideas.

Candidates from the leather sector may apply to compete for for 10.000 Euro and benefits for reputation and image with individual coaching and advice, participation in two international events and cross-sectorial networking and collaboration.

150 partnerships will be supported throughout a 4-year journey.

The success of the first call for applications with more than 100 applications submissions received, turned into 41 short-listed partnerships who pitched in an international competition in front of a high-profile jury. The concrete results are the selection of 25 innovative partnerships based on the outstanding quality of the ideas and partners.

Five submissions came in from the leather sector in that first call and only 1 was awarded, namely the partnership Elisa Palomino (UK) and Caterina Lucci (Italy) together with Atlantic Leather (Iceland) introducing fish leather to the luxury sector.
