Presentation of EUREKA, the Training Multilingual Leather Technical Dictionary
EUREKA is a multilingual multimedia dictionary including many innovations and facilities for typing and displaying foreign languages including many special symbols.
The software contains a list of over 2300 entries in 9 languages (1), a trainable keyboard (2), which can be customized by the user enabling the addition of different characters, for example Latin, Greek, Russian and Arabic, and a main menu (3).
Each term is presented in the language selected by the user (1) and with its definition in English (2). In the definition, cross-references (3) allow the user to obtain the definitions and/or translations of new terms. Some of the terms are also accompanied by multimedia files (7-9).
Multimedia files include Sounds, Images and Videos. Multiple entries can coexist for each term in all multimedia categories. Images include a very impressive sophisticated, continuous zooming mechanism. Sound can be linked to each country, (shown with a flag in front of the selection), so that the user knows in advance the language of a dialogue.
